About Trotter It

TrotterIt is the online place to create your travel journal, meet the globetrotter and build a community of travelers. People with an immense passion for traveling can meet like-minded people and plan trips together.

Nevertheless, travelers can help each other by sharing quality information. The platform also integrates an online travel stories to render information on travel spots, activities, etc. To availing of all these things, users have to download the Trotter It application on their Android devices.

Project Summary

The company came to our team with an expectation of better online exposure. In 2017, they launched the application for Android on Google Play Store. However, in a span of two years, the company has only noted around 50 downloads. They were also planning to launch the app on the iOS store at that time.

However, the low number of downloads of the app on Google Play Store was the biggest discouraging factor for the company. Clearly, the application lacked online exposure. The company owner had contacted our team with a clear goal of reaching 5000 application installs milestone. We agreed with the demand and accepted the challenge.

Our Approach

  • Website Development: Since the company did not have a website, it faced issues with exposure through search engine optimization. Therefore, we advised the company owner to have a website, and our dedicated web development team had taken up the job. As a result, we have created a visually appealing website that includes a blogging section to share informative travel tips with travellers around the world.
  • Application Store Optimization: The next step was keyword research and optimization of app product page to position well on app store search results for relevant keywords. We optimized the title and description of the app. Added more screenshots and videos which made the application more trustworthy for Android users.
  • Google Analytics: The next step was performance monitoring of the website and application. We had setup and configured the Google Play Console and Google Analytics tools to track visitors, and other crucial statistics.
  • Social Media Marketing: The first stage was social media marketing which strengthens the online exposure of a brand. Moreover, social media marketing helps a business to develop brand value. We provided a proficiently-managed social media marketing service to Trotter It to generate project awareness online.

Result and Outcome

  • We reached the target of 5000 application installs within 4 months of commencing the project.
  • We collected all crucial data, like crash reports, uninstalls, compatibility issues, events performed, retention rate, exit points, and many more. Collecting all such data helped the client in measuring the app performance and optimizing it for more profitability.
  • A wide collection of users’ reviews and feedbacks containing problems they faced on the app, what features they liked and what feature they want to be added etc. which helped the client make necessary changes for the betterment of the app.
  • Our service also helped the clients observe a higher user engagement and activity on the app.
